Paulton Rovers Netball Club has been established for over 20 years and consists of both junior and senior sections.
The senior section currently play in the Somerset League where the A side are in the Premier division and the B side the 3rd division. The senior section also participate in Wessex Blades’ summer league, in Warminster, through out July.
Our aim is to encourage anyone interested in playing netball to contact Paulton Rovers Netball Club, to join the club and improve their standard of open play, key skills, understanding of tactics and general fitness.
We always welcome and encourage new members regardless of age or ability (minimum age is 9 years for juniors)
In previous years we were lucky enough to have ex-Somerset coach and qualified Level 2 Senior Coach Stuart Eglington as our coach. He brought his great enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge to all training sessions and matches, unfortunately Stu passed away last year but his enthusiasm is being carried on by all members of our club. This season we are joined by Jane Tompkinson, who has started putting us through our paces. Jane has previously given us the benefit of her wisdom but was unable to commit to us full time. This season she has come out all guns blazing with the aim of gaining promotion for the B Side and maintaining the A teams run of good form. With this in mind we are looking forward to the season ahead.
Along with Jane we also have three Level 2 Junior Coaches and seven Level 1 Coaches, along with six Child Protection Officers.
Training takes place on a Wednesday evenings at Paulton Rovers Football Club (the courts are just behind the pitch) 6.30pm-8pm for juniors and 8pm-9.30pm for seniors. The Senior squad also train indoors once a month at Norton Hill School dates for this can be found online on our Training page.
As well as being a highly competitive club we also enjoy a fantastic social life and regularly go out together as friends, weekends away or just a drink and a gossip in the bar after training!
