Paulton Rovers Netball Club prides itself on offering juniors and seniors a safe training environment in a well organised Club. The Club is currently working towards its Silver Award; showing the girls commitment to enhancing the Club and keeping up with new All England policies.

All our coaches, helpers and umpires are CRB checked and members attend Child Protection Courses and Sport First Aid Courses. All of our coaches are qualified by All England Netball to UKCC standard and regularly seek to attend courses to further their knowledge. The 2010/2011 season saw Liz Hoare and Victoria Bisgrove become Level 2 coaches. At the start of the 2011/2012 season we have 7 Level 1 coaches including Jade Woodbury who has become our youngest Level 1 coach at 17 years old. Everyone within the Club is encouraged and supported to further their development whether it’s as a player or as a volunteer.

To secure the future of the Club we also encourage players to become umpires. This season Vanessa Lynch and Shelley Bush became C Award umpires, and Helen Carpenter and Victoria Bisgrove became Beginner umpires along with a five more members keen to sit the Beginners Course to start their umpiring careers.

We are a Club that continually seeks to enhance itself, offering everyone the opportunity to become a Club Volunteer should they wish to from sport to admin. This opportunity is also open to non Club members looking to further their netball / coaching skills for example those taking A-Level PE or other sport related courses. If anyone is interested in the above then they should contact us.

The 2011/2012 season will see a big change at the club with our new coach Jane giving us a new thirst for a win. After a record number of attendees to this years senior selection this season is going to be an exciting one!

Volunteers are an important asset to any club and this is recognised by All England Netball who host the Golden Globes Awards Ceremony yearly.

Last season the club nominated Kimberley Brooks for the South West’s Mary Bulloch Award. The award is presented to a volunteer with an outstanding contribution to the development of netball at any level by way of administration. Kimberley attended the awards on July 10th 2011. Unfortunately she didn’t win but was so happy to even be nominated for such an award.

Previously the club nominated Victoria Bisgrove for the South West’s Regional Rose Award. The Rose Award is presented to a volunteer or organisation that has made a notable contribution to netball in any capacity which may encompass any aspect of the game and its administration.

Victoria attended the ceremony on the 5th July 2010 with her husband and her nominator Shelley Bush, unfortunately Victoria did not go  through the to the National Golden Globes final but she fully appreciated being recognised for her work and commitment towards the Club, while being inspired by the Regions’ other volunteers.
