Paulton’s Tomahawks have had a storming week of netball playing two matches, show casing fantastic team development and two great performances.
Tomahawks first match was against Wyndham in which the team came out fighting from the off, to dominate the first quarter with confident passing throughout and dynamic attacking play into and around the shooting circle. As the first quarter finished Tomahawks led by 6 goals with shooters Cheryl and Davina on 100% form. As the second and third quarters were played out the team continued to lengthen their impressive score line, with Jade and Darby linking up smoothly in attack and the defence of Ness, Victoria and Charlotte limiting Wyndham’s attacking play, to score only 6/8 goals in each quarter.
With the whole club behind them in the final quarter the atmosphere in the indoor hall was electric as the girls continued to work hard for match dominance. Accurate passing, definite movement on to the ball and many inspiring team link ups ensured that the team went on to win convincingly leaving Wydnham trailing 57 – 28. Player of the match as voted by Wyndham was Jade for her vision and passing into the shooting circle.
